Does anyone know of a reliable info/data source for the post-war Big 4 engines? Having learnt enough on the 16H's (current bike is now running superbly - see recent carb conversation) I decided to expand my SV experience to the big brother.
I have seen conflicting information on oil quantity for the long roadholders, both from factory sources.
The factory Maintenance and Instruction Manual quotes 1/4 pint [142cc].

Did anybody tried to put an 1948 ES2 engine in a WD 16h frame ?
Is there enough room up there and did the cranckcase fit the diamond frame ?
