Does anyone know of a reliable info/data source for the post-war Big 4 engines? Having learnt enough on the 16H's (current bike is now running superbly - see recent carb conversation) I decided to expand my SV experience to the big brother.
So far I have sourced an excellent barrel and new piston via NOC, have an alloy head already, crankcases on order and am hoping to create a c.1948 spec engine one day. Cranks seem very hard to find.
But I'm really looking for more details on interchangeability of 16H cams, followers, oil pumps etc which I suspect would have been common to both engine build lines but I'm not sure.
Roy Bacon's book doesn't have much on this model.
