I'd appreciate some further guidance with this please. Which way does the lower gearbox stud go round? It's not obvious to me why one side has a lot more thread than the other.

Hi all, after having my crankshaft balanced & main bearings done, I'm still chasing severe handlebar vibration up to 3500rpm when it smooths out, impossible to use mirrors at town speeds.
I've been draining the sump and pouring it back on my '70 Commando after it's wet sumped for a few years now.
Every so often I stumble across something good on Youtube and here's one of them, a discussion about good engine flow characteristics which mentions the Commando engine a lot. Enjoy!

Hello, please can you share thoughts about table lifts. I am looking at Sealey 365 or Clarke CML3 to lift a Commando.
So, having had a binding problem with my front brake in the end I decided to bite the bullet and buy & fit the RGM master cylinder upgrade. Doing the machining tested the capabilities of my little set up but I got there in the end.
The dust cover on the rear master cylinder keeps being damaged by the kickstart pinch bolt head.
I've replaced this several times, but now wonder if there are any tips on how to prevent this.
Have had a couple of NJ306EXLM1A for a while but wondering if they are normal clearance or c3 thanks
Dear all, I would appreciate some guidance with this one.
It's not very easy to see from the attached photo but I can't turn the welded adjuster nut because it fouls the big axle washer.
