My bike has become hard to start and once started, tick over is uneven. But runs well at higher revs.
I have removed the pre mono block carb and cleaned it using compressed air, replaced the plug and cleaned and re gapped the points. It feels like its short of fuel but when I tickle the carb I have plenty of flow. On inspecting the plug it looks dry. Could anyone point me in the right direct me please.
Sounds like those tiny…

I have blasted compressed…
I have blasted compressed air through the pilot air screw adjuster with the carb off and noted that the two small holes in the main body of the carb are clear. Would you still recommend removing the jet block? and if so how does it come out please.

I don't think..
.. it would be the main jet as that only comes into operation at wide open throttle unless it's virtually blocked.
I'd agree about the passages however. If the plug looks dry it does point to fuel shortage rather than ignition in my view.

The jet block has to be…
The jet block has to be knocked out from bellow. Check for small screw that may be in the side of carb body that locks the block in place on some carbs.

No amount of air or carb…
No amount of air or carb cleaner will 100% clean out a pilot jet, only a drill 1 thou smaller than the keys proper size will clean it out. A 25 cc/min jet is 17 thou.

Sounds like those tiny little pilot jet passages. Can you get the jet block out to clean them? But first...check the main jet!
And don't forget to check the mag contacts and spark plug. It's easy to waste ages on a carb problem that doesn't exist. Especially if it ran well recently.
