Difficult to find someone with a lathe with big enough swing. A really good wheel builder may be able to improve an out of round drum . I managed to do mine !  . Join the Surrey branch !

There is a company in Biggleswade that will skim your brake drum while you wait.

Who is that, can we have contact details please Anthony.
And is that just a bare drum, or a fully built-up wheel?

Drum skimming really needs to be done on a fully laced-up wheel, because spoke tightening will slightly distort the drum. It's something I'll be considering one day. Old Bike Mart lists a few, but nothing down your neck of the woods.

You take them the complete wheel and he then skims the brake hub with the wheel for you. I had my one done in March 2022 and the cost was £60.
They are Stotfold Eng Co Ltd

Is it juddering, or are you planning for the future?  Our branch had a talk from one of the main wheelbuilders a few years ago and he said Norton drums (unlike some others) were so rigid that an evenly laced wheel seldom if ever needed the drum skimming to cure distortion.
