I've just discovered that my front isolastic (Mk3) has been fitted with the adjusting ring (ring with the holes in it) situated on the primary side of the frame, not the timing side as described in the manual. So both adjusting rings (front iso and rear iso) are on the left as you sit on the bike.
Is this an issue? Do I have to (or should I) remove the front iso in it's entirety and turn it around (replacing any worn parts in the process), so the adjuster ring is on the timing side as described in the manual?
Thoughts? I know for originality I should do this, but do I have to? Will it affect handling or safety? Any structural issues? I've no idea how long it's been like this, I've only owned the bike a couple of years.
Thanks

Check your rear wheel, it…
Check your rear wheel, it will not be inline with the front. The front is easy to swap over, so it would be a good idea to do it

The left and right abutments differ in thickness by 1/4 on the front iso's so you need to change it over as Ashley correctly recommended.
Edited to correct wrong info.
