If the Bush were steel then the heating would work, but bronze is nearer to aluminium in expansion rate hence why the bronze exhaust nuts work better than steel ones. The big tap plus heat will work.

hello the best way to remove bronze cam bushies is to bung the cases in the oven and put in on full for 20 minutes to half-hour and have a set of leather gloves and a good wooden board when hot just light drop on the board and they should just drop out and you fit them the same way but making sure you have the oil holes all lined up, the job that simple but do not let the wife catch you,
