Hi
I’ve rebuilt the wheels on my 1952 Model 7 plunger. Single side front brake. I’ve rebuilt the forks with new tubes and springs. The mudguard is Indian.
However having installed the wheel the tyre is fouling the left side mudguard where the stay is bolted to the fork leg.
I’m concerned I’ve made a mistake building the front wheel.
Just to check, the centre line of the rim should be in line with the centre line of the hub between the two rows of spokes?
That’s the way I understood it read in “Roadholder” and I think it was in a topic here as well.
Thanks
Doug
The rim should be centered....

The offset for the Model 7…
The offset for the Model 7 front wheel is 16mm measured from the face of the brake drum to the rim. A wheel builder advised me of this after I left a 21 inch model 7 front wheel with him. Assuming that it was correct in the first place 16mm should be correct.

Suggestion
RGM have a handy hints page dealing with the wheel-offset of most Norton models.
