I understand that some members are attending this year's Colombres rally in October. I have sent off a completed entry form and have received a discount code for the ferry, but no other confirmation that my entry has been accepted. Can anyone confirm that this is sufficient to go ahead and book the ferry?
Thanks
John

I hope you got your confirmation, entries are still being accepted. If you still have had no reply, try phoning Ana. Not many of the Spanish club members speak English,so, messages have to be passed to someone who can reply. Barring accidents, I will be there (for the 4th time) staying at the Cass Abajo. A geriatric hippy, with a beard, ponytail, and a '54 Dominator.

No! They have probably got confused with the ferry booking, and rally entry (Inscription). Do you have a translation program? If not, download one, from Google, and email them in Spanish.

In the previous three years, I have not met any other N.O.C. members at Colombres, although other Norton owners were present. Accommodation is spread around several hotels in the area, so this is not surprising. A good meeting point is the La Parrra bar (Moto Indianos headquarters) after the day's run.

as I say , hope to be there but I will be on probably an old short stroke G80cs it is a bitsa and you probably cannot miss it,[the commando won't be sorted I don't think in time] so hope to meet perhaps, there will be an eclectic mix of machines and chums with me and you probably won't miss them either, having said that you probably would have wished you had! kind regards

What have you received by way of confirmation? I am keen to attend this rally but I am reluctant to pay for the ferry without knowing that a) I have an entry and b) I have a place to stay.
Will try an email in Spanish if I can.

I admit was a bit confused, whether my inscription had been, received correctly. I sent message, in Spanish, as suggested. In general, the Spanish do not often bother to acknowledge orders, for goods or services. Their attitude seems to be "If you don't want it, you wouldn't have ordered it!". The fact that they sent you a ferry voucher is (In their eyes) confirmation that your entry was received.

Assuming you do mean the Colombres Rally (organized by the Moto Indianos club), and not the Moto Piston Rally, I suggest you email the organizers for confirmation. Don't forget, this is in northern Spain, not the costas. Warm clothes, and good waterproofs are needed, but it is worth it for the magnificent scenery alone.
