"Hello, I recently discovered through the DVLA website that a Norton motorcycle that was purchased new by my Father-in-law is still around (SORN).
I would love to be able to contact the owner, but unfortunately the DVLA are not able to give me the Owner's details (Data Protection).
This enquiry is a shot in the dark in case the vehicle is registered with your club. If it is, I realise that you may not be able to give me the Owner's details, but would you be able to send them a message with my details so that they can respond to me (or not) as they choose.
The motorcycle concerned is a Dominator (reg no. 16 BOC).
Thank you for any help you may be able to provide."
