tyres

I need to replace the tyres on my Atlas, usually use avon but they have become very expensive ,
Looking at Mitas H-06 or Michelin Road classics , has anyone experience with either of these tyres.

... on several bikes but none as heavy / powerful as an Atlas. I think I'd be tempted to ignore the expense and go for Avons or similar.

Having said that my Electra is still on the tyres it came with.....

3.25 on my frontwheel, as replacement for the 3.00 Avon SM which was so old it even didn't have a DOT-code. I didn't like the profile of the Mitas, that's why I ended up by the Heidenau.  But to be honest, it is much thicker than the Avon so I had to shorten the mudguardbolts. I looked for Avon but they cost three times the price of the Heidenau.

Previously used Avon Roadrider and Bridgestone BT45 on my old CB750 four, but now using Michelin Road Classic.

They seem to have a narrower profile and make for easier and lighter handling.

Done around 6,000 miles, still plenty tread left.

Hope this helps.
