Hi all. Has anybody any feedback on the Bright Spark Bright Cap condenser conversion.
My condenser has failed and I am considering this option after wrestling with the lower
maggie bolt on the model 7. Cheers.
After many diversions and interruptions I have now finalised (more or less) my timing side timing arrangement.
Hi , I've just rebuilt the top end on my 1936 Model 18 and wondered if a cylinder head steady was ever fitted to the Model 18, mine has a later head with enclosed valves and I'm thinking of making a head steady and using the two rear rocker box bo
I have seen 2 needle jet specs for the Electra - .105 and .1055. Any idea which is correct? Incidentally, apparently the previous owner couldn't get it to run properly.
Hello, I am trying to rewire the headlight of a 350 . Can anyone provide me with the complete wiring diagram for the two switches ? Thanks Philip
Please, can anyone tell me what AMC forks I am trying to fit to a jubilee? See attached photos.
Steering head assembled and seems to work well with assistance from illustrated forks parts list.
Morning all.
1977 MkIII 850. Starts first kick and waited for the banging and rough running to settle which is usual after standing several weeks, reported to be water in the fuel.
Should the engine and frame numbers have "M"s stamped next to them?
i am trying to identify this hub as I NEED A BRAKE PLATE. it has been suggested that it is a Garden gate Manx. it is steel, 8 inch, 40 spokes.
Hi Folks I have a standard lucas dynamo on my 16h which was professionally re conditioned about 8 years ago. When I spin it up it happily produces 18 volts at the D and F.
Good afternoon
The resurrection is going along well, awaiting return of the frame to start hanging all the shiny bits back on and the next challenge is.......
Where to get a period looking Manx tyre fly screen, any ideas anyone?

I'm going through the gear box on my Dominator, gear box #N24006. The mainshaft 2nd gear is usable but I would like to replace it with a very good one if anyone has a good spare. It is a 18tooth gear with 3 engagement dogs.
Hallo,

So having decided from an earlier thread that my 88 crank is as strong a crank as I'll find I bought a dye penetrant test kit to have a look at it. Initially I focussed on the big end journals and found no issues.
Feel a bit stupid asking this question. But is there a definitive list of spanner sizes?
I took the magneto off and the timing chains and felt like every time I picked a spanner up it didnt fit.

Like many of us 2-wheel road users I have had an insurance policy with Carole Nash for many years. This post is not about the price at policy renewal, which has actually gone down £1-odd

Afternoon all. My Dominator refurb project moves on. It's far too cold to work in the shed so instead I went out to see the previous owner yesterday.
My bike as you may have seen from earlier picture is a rather tatty black. I was led to believe that it was an American market bike and returned to the UK in 2008.
Having got her running thought I would see if she can move. Can't get into first gear. Goes into second no problem from neutral but not first. 3rd and 4th appear to be obtainable too but not actually ridden it down the road yet.
Thought I had better see if it would start and run. Drained oil as it had not been started for a number of years. Not a lot came out so filled with fresh. No oil in gearbox either so filled that. Plugs checked and in good nick.
Well, In my excitement to buy the Commando I failed to notice that it didn't have a side stand! On closer inspection I found a short tube welded to the frame. Hope fully I've managed to attach a picture.
