Original throttle needle clip position MkIII

Hi - Can anyone help with the clip position on the throttle needle for a 1976 Commando MkIII, twin Amal 933 R33. The needle has two/three positions - see enclosed

CURRENT SET UP

New Premier carbs fitted December 2024 = 9300-932

Pilot jet upgrade design standard on Premier models.

Needle = 4 ring position 1 (top groove)  Andover Norton suggest position 1 also

Main jet 260  Andover Norton suggest 260 

Slide 3.5 anodised 

Needle jet 106 

Mixture screw start position = 1 1/4 turns out Andover Norton suggest 1 1/4 turns out

Stay up float upgrade (resists ethanol).

Ally float needle upgrade Viton tipped (resists ethanol).

I'm still using the same as Brian above. Experiment and find out, the MK3 unless standard may behave differently. There are whole host of things that can make a difference - 
The cam - is it the original Polydyne cam
Venturis in airbox inlets
Balance pipe on exhausts
Silencers.
