Jubilee restoration

Forums

Morning all . I just thought I would send an update on my jubilee rebuild. Frame and suspension has been sand blasted etch primed and undercoated along with various other part's. Tank still to clean out . Head blasted and painted. Casings polished. Lots of nos parts ready to be fitted . New wiring loom and coils . I'm going to fit electronic ignition. I think it makes sense after the work I've done so far . What other parts / alterations will I need regarding the conversion? Not 100% sure on this . This is my first venture into British bikes and I'm still learning as I progress but really enjoying the adventure . I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now . Thanks in advance Graham.

Fit electronic and 12V. there could be a major snag with a NEW loom. The original 6V Wipac system had a resistor built in the loom. I have yet to see any remade ORIGINAL loom be safe to use.
12V negates this resistor.

Fit an oil filter.  The clubs spares scheme sells the parts.   Also fit drain plugs with magnets, again the club does this with a much improved sump plate.  Gearbox and primary chain case would benefit from magnets in the drain plugs, don't know if the club does those.
