Hello
New to the club and the forum having just started putting together the pile of bits which is supposed to end up a '75 mk 111. The parts availability is very good but I am having trouble finding a LH switch/clutch lever fitting which I gather is no longer made. Be very grateful if anyone has any suggestions as to a source or alternative which would fit. It looks as though the Triumph ones are almost identical but they have the same problem.
Regards
Tim
T160 and T140E are the same…

The original Lucas switches…
The original Lucas switches do come up quite regularly on eBay, nearly always off T140Es (T160s gave the older T140V type switchgear). The difference between them is that the T140E version and the Mk3 is that the T140E electrical connections are either bullet connectors or black plastic block connectors. The white plastic Mk3 connectors are still available, so not an issue. Most will need refinishing - changing to the Mk3 matt black finish is straightforward.
Pricewise, either can vary considerably from £40ish to eye watering silly figures if bid up. But sensibly priced examples can be bought with a little patience.

T160 and T140E are the same part. And there are some copies, Sparx comes to mind.
They appear from time to time on eBay etc., although often knackered and at silly prices.
If you're not obsessed with originality, Japanese switchgear, 20 year old Honda say, is better, cheaper, also black and readily available (push-to-cancel indicators - yeah). Of course, you'll need a seperate clutch lever clamp.
