Does anyone have some pictures of how they fitted a pannier rack to a prewar rigid Single? I have a pair of Craven panniers but am considering how I might use them for weekend away, by adding their "W" rack. I have some ideas but surely this has been done before?
Attached picture shows one (not mine) coming up at auction shortly.
Here's an example designed for Givi luggage

Thanks Ian. I think the WD…
Thanks Ian. I think the WD were better designers than I. (Now I need a welding machine).
I made a small rack for my Dommie from end feed soldered 15mm copper central heating pipework! But copper has nowhere near the strength of steel.

The rack in this case is a reproduction WD 16H item. The stainless plate with the Givi fittings is attached to the rack in 4 locations, 3 of which were already present in the rack construction. The 4th location (lower front) required an additional L bracket to be welded to the rack.
I suggest not carrying fragile items in the cases - without suspension the contents get a good shaking.
