N15CS stand

Forums

Hello, I just have a bare stand for N15CS. Has anyone got, or know where I can find, a schematic how all the spacers etc fit. Thanks Richard

There are no drawings to show how the centre stand is attached to the frame. The hybrid books, do not have any pictures, only the 1964 one does, and these drawings are for the standard Dominator twins, which have some parts that are common to the G15CS, N15CS. The parts book, for 1966/67/68 lists all the component parts required to connect it to the bottom of the frame rails. There is a long stud, with a spacer that goes between the engine plates, and two spacers of the same size that fit between the lower frame rails and the side of the engine plates. There are two washers, and two nuts to lock it all in place. There is a very large spring that goes over the large spacer between the engine plates. One side of the spring has a hook on it that goes in a hole in one of the engine plates, and the long tang on the spring, goes onto the centre stand. The workshop manual does show a picture of a N15CS engine being extracted from the G12CS frame, so it should show the centre stand. There are other types of centre stand used in the G15 series, and the G15CSR, G15 Mk2, G15P, and they have different sizes of spacers that go between the lower frame rail and the engine plates. These ones are of different lengths. One being in black, and one being in silver.
