Kent Coalfield Rally

I just had a great weekend at the Kent Coalfield Rally run by the 69MCC from Dover. The venue a sports and social club had all the facilities necessary to run a successful rally. The 69 club had everything so well organised, including the catering, all done by club volunteers. Friday night was spent catching up with old friends and beer drinking. I did meet a fellow NOCcer attending the rally, but he wasn't on his Norton. The first photo taken soon after arriving on Friday.arrive rally.jpgDuring Saturday I rode up to Margate to visit Vanda and Baz of Kent NOC. They made me very welcome, fed me lunch, plenty of Norton chatter, with plenty of tea and cake too. Many thanks Vanda and Baz.The evening was spent back at the rally where an excellent BBQ was laid on before the entertainment started. The bar which was run by the venue and not the bike club had bought in special for the rally barrels of real ale but unfortunately it did run out half way through the evening. There was plenty of alternative drinks so not many went thirsty. The band was also really good, playing the right music to keep everyone happy. The 69 club also ran a raffle which raised a few hundred pounds for a charity called Headway, a the UK-wide charity that works to improve life after brain injury.Second shot was taken inside the club house as the band was preparing to start.Band setting up.jpgMy next camping trip will be to North Yorkshire weekend after next.Regards, AlanAttachments
