Can anyone help with sourcing unobtrusive 6v trafficators for my dynamo Dommi 88 please? Ideally they'd be LED lit as the output of the dynamo isn't massive. Many thanks.

There are several listed on Ebay, but I would want something a bit more in character, try Paul Goff for 6v LED bulbs to fit normal Lucas indicators, however, unless you ride it a lot at night, I wouldn't bother, car drivers these days actually seem to notice hand signals more than trafficators!
Whatever you use just always assume that they HAVEN'T seen you.

Hello Well you can not work LED as it only works on Negative earth Your Norton is Positive Earth , So that kills that one And with Six Volt you do not have enough power to make then work right , As try this out on a BSA C15 and the power drop when you witch them on they on flashed a few times and blown the fuse , I would save your money
And just sick you arm out like all of us . yours anna j

Fair enough! Didn't really fancy ruining the appearance of the bike anyway!
Thanks for responding.

Hi Peter, for the record,…
Hi Peter,
for the record, you can get LED in 6 volt, 12 volt, positive earth, or negative earth. I run LED neg. earth on my Model 77 on all lamps (except the headlamp) they are much brighter than the filiment bulbs & last much longer. I can even read my Chronometric at night now
I recently purchased a pair of hella bar end winkers as BMW & Norton Electras used. & plan on using them on the Model 77, they look vintage, are aluminum (not plastic) and because there have lenses front & rear, you only need to mount 2 instead of 4. Since they mount directly to the end of the handlebar, they wont wobble & break off lie the 70's era lucas ones with the long stalks. If you dont want to spend the money on the genuine Hella ones, there are economy priced reproductions available. I also highly recomend Goffys website for any bulbs:

P.S. I am running his halogen headlamp bulb on my Model 77 & I can finally see at night !

Well this is what was on my BSA c15 and it blows fuses like hell , my wiring was check out by a car electrician and every thing was ok . but it still did not work right, ended up taking it all off , and still have the parts the bikes long gone I sold it and was glad to see the back of it.

The above information is NOT to be trusted. LED indiactors are polarity conscious, but care in wiring and a bit of understanding can over come this. (even reverse the polarity of the bike) 6V is not a problem, the lower power available from a dynamo might be an issue, but as the indicators are used intermitantly that is NOT a real issue. Your blowing fuses is down to poor wiring and failure to understand basics of electricity.Paul Goff is the man to talk to for the parts.

Why bother? Car drivers won't see them, and you will forget to cancel them. Better to keep a good watch in your mirror. If you must fit indicators, there are plenty of 6 volt systems available ex smaller Jap bikes.
