Hi, I need some advice on how to get a gear off my crankshaft... I've split the crank cases and pretty much everything is now off apart from one gear on the end of the crank. Does anyone know how to get this gear off?It is on the timing gear side. It is the rear drive sprocket which appears to be located by a woodruff key and maybe a tapered shaft. Any ideas for separating the sprocket - seems very tight. I've tried heating it slightly but to no avail. Does anyone have any experience or advice on how to get this off?
Many thanks
Andrew

Brilliant, thanks for your help Colin and John.
That tool looks right- I'll order one of these tools from Norvil, reassuring to know that it needs a tool and not just forcing off!

There is a special tool to remove that gear. It is hard if not impossible to get it off without that tool. I think the part number is 067524.
