I have heard of some members having fitted a side stand to the small front engine plate. I am looking to do something similar as I don't want to fit the standard one to the frame. Is there anyone who could help out with photos, drawings with dimensions or anything else which might be useful to allow me to make one up.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Alex

I've got one mounted on my 650ss. I made an extra steel plate for the front left motor mount and even have a spare Kawasaki side stand It works great but does require swept back pipes to clear . If that will work for you happy to sell the plate and side stand for £40 plus shipping. Let me know and I'll send you photos tomorrow.
If anyone else could use one happy to make up another one for £40 and postage as I,ve got the plate pattern and another Kawasaki side stand. It does require swept back pipes to accomadate the side stand when it's retracted in the folded position.

Dominator side stand
Hi William
I am interested in the side stand and like the look of your side stand. My immediate problem is I have purchased a new exhaust system with mega phone exhausts which I do not want to replace.
Given you experience with the side stand. Is there any way that I can further modify it to fit around the exhaust system I have. I have the means of machining and welding (having it welded for me)

Alex, the sidestand I have…
Alex, the sidestand I have on my bike does require the swept back pipes to function smoothly and remain tucked up properly giving good ground clearance. I maybe wrong but suspect it would not work properly with original style pipes. Sorry chum

I have posted this picture with the side stand in the retracted position to show how close it is to even the swept back pipe

Side stand
Hi William
I am going to buy this from you and take a chance that I can figure out a working solution. If all else fails then you'll see it back again up for sale.
I would appreciate as many photos as you can muster up.
Let me know how much for parts, post and how you would prefer to be paid.
Regards

... use a Kawasaki stand as I and many others have done. This is it fitted to my plunger ES2. Obviously fitting plates etc need to be devised but that's pretty straightforward. I think my stand was from a ZZR1100 but am probably wrong.
