Correct seal for output shaft

Forums

Please can somebody tell me which is the correct oil seal for the output shaft on a late model Jubilee. I can see some in the shop but not sure which one I need

There are probably two, one for the early andone for the late gearbox. If you are referring to the sleeve gear bearing the later one (64 on) is part number 040132. Hope that helps

Paul,. When you have removed the gearbox sprocket ( nut is LH thread ) you will find a hardened seal ring on the sleeve gear. Loose fit and held in place by the sprocket.

Oil can sleep under the ring even if the gearbox oil seal is good.

Recommend remove the seal ring and replace with a smear of sealant on inner face and inside diameter.
