We are sad to announce the death of Ian Somerville
We are sad to announce the recent death of Ian Somerville, who with his wife Rose was our merchandise officer. Ian was a highly valued member of the Executive Committee whose views and opinions always made a valued contribution to our discussions. The merchandise operation ran like clockwork with Ian and Rose at the helm.
As well as merchandise, Ian was also involved in the spares side of the club, behind the scenes generally, but always at the forefront of spares acquisition. He had an in depth knowledge of our machines and the parts needed to keep them on the road. This knowledge and commitment to the club will be hard to replace.
Ian will be missed by all who knew him. Our condolences go to Rose and Ian’s family.
