Commando

I know this has been discussed a few times before but what tyres do members recommend for a 1976 Mk3 Commando that I have from new. I am trying to cure head shake/wobble and I appreciate that this can be a common problem with Commandos.

Hi, I've never used a torque wrench when tightening the heads on the 99s or Commandos I've owned. Question is, will a torque wrench fit into the back of cyl space for the rear nut and the two front recessed nuts?

hi all i have just purchased a quite nice 71 (although not registered till 73 ) commando , my intention was to replicate a 750 norvil i had back in the 80,s ( cafe racer etc you get the idea ) :-) .

I recently replaced the layshaft bearing in the gearbox and at the same time replaced various bushes and also the kick-start return spring.

I had a bit of a disaster while filling my oil tank when oil dripped down onto the rectifier and there was aloud pop and a puff of smoke. Turns out these are no longer available so I have bought a Podtronics unit from AN.

To replace the rear numberplate holder/ rear indicator stalks is it straight forward or does it get a bit fiddly?

My side stand has now fallen off twice and consider myself lucky not to have been hurt. After the first spring failed I fitted a stainless steel one and made sure the spring wasn't hitting the stand bolt.

I've had a Mikuni VM36 on my 850 2A for 15 years now and it has been wonderful, but over a recent extended period of work it has been off the bike and away in a cupboard. My son offered to clean it up whilst it was off - and there is my problem.
