time for a new tyre

Forums

Removing the Tek screw from my 3.50 x19 Avon SM  happily did not lead to a deflation  but  I am not confident that a 5mm  intrusion straight into the carcass  is safe. So a new tyre is needed. Asked this question years ago   without any luck.  Does anyone make a better tyre  of the same size ? anything wider does not fit.    Don't fancy a moped tyre.

What about a Dunlop K70?

Used to fit them in the 1970's, they were affectionately known as Killer 70's back then.

I think they come up a bit wider , not a lot  about 3mm ,but I'm getting rub marks already on the sidewall. Perhaps I'll have to set the wheels over in the frame ,or put them out of line..  Killer 70's   sound as confidence inspiring as "Deathmasters" !!.  And they are speed rated lower I think.

Just fitted a pair of these to my 99 3:50x19 rear and 3:00x19 front seem just right on the width. Both rims WM2
