Re: ES2 Prop Stand

Forums

Hi All,

New member here, hoping to pick the collective knowledge of all on here :)

Anyway, I've nearly finished my 19R project and while I know a few of you won't be happy that I've modified it a bit I'm hoping that someone can point me in the direction of a company selling ES2 prop stands. I've already asked the nice man in charge of spares and he told me they may get some made up at some point but I'm hoping to MOT the bike in the next fortnight or so...

So, anybody know where I might find one? I'd nick the one my old man put on his 30M but he shortened it to suit :(

Pictures on this link http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=154653&id=515298304&l=00d007de72 from a few weeks ago, I've since done everything bar the new exhaust and a stand.

Cheers, Paul K

Hi Paul,

Do you mean the centre stand? They call it the prop stand in the parts book. If so, you may have difficulty fitting it with your mudguard so low at the front, the stand cross member will foul on it in the folded position. I speak from experience! If you mean the side stand at the front, it may be easier to have one made, because these are like hens teeth, it may be better to fit a rear stand as these are resonably easy to find (REPRO), at least you will have something to stand the bike on while you are looking for the other stand.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

Sorry for the delay in reply, was expecting the site to email me if anyone replied :(

It is the side stand that attaches to the front engine bolts that I'm after, I have a center stand that I can fit which just clears the mudguard so I'll put that on while I keep looking for that elusive side stand. Still have the original rear stand but really not a fan of that :(

Cheers, Paul
