I had a feeling the autoadvance unit was sticking on the Domminator's magneto. It kicked back a few times if the starting kick was a bit half hearted. Now, as I have a new CoCrMo knee fitted just 3 months ago, its important to me it starts easily and doesn't give my leg a hard time. Hence I've had the AAU off, cleaned, lubed, with new springs and now back on the bike and timed.
The problem is 1) there was just one screw holding on the end cap and 2) that screw escaped as I put the cap back on and is somewhere invisibly stuck in the engine plates refusing to fall to the floor (or it it has hit the floor, the garage fairies have spirited it away and will return in in a few weeks)
Obviously I need at least one new screw so the question is what thread is that or does anyone have a part number.
Thanks

It is more than likely a 2BA…
It is more than likely a 2BA cheesehead X 5/8 inch long. Cheers, howard

... I should add the cover is one of the cut out ones with connection to a kill button and a oil tap switch - it attaches with 2 screws, so its not the clip on or screw on cover.
