well some magneto cover have a spring lever across that slides to one side . then the cover just pulls off , but some are screwed on fitting if your bike as a Magneto dynamo then these have the spring slide type,

Good question though...on my 16H I have to turn the engine very slowly to get the cap in exactly the right place relative to the contact breaker because it's so close to the chaincase. Maybe that's the reason why so many different magneto platforms seem to have been made?Is it a single with magdyno?

Hi Alexander, I have several hundred Lucas magnetos & magdynos on the shelf. If you can tell me what bike its on, or the number off the magneto tag & can send pics if you like

I was at the Domiracer auction a few years ago, bought all the used Lucas mags & dynamos & a few miller dynamos. Many were dis-assembled, but it's nice having spare parts on hand, as I rebuild Magnetos & Dynamos.

If anyone needs anything I am happy to help. In addition to the used stuff & stock most Lucas mag parts either in a quality reproduction (many UK made) and some new old stock as well.

The biggest selling item is the Brightspark Easycaps, over 3,000 in service now! Sure is nice having the condenser located at the poits, so easy to get to.
