So while fidgeting with the shaft issue as previous posted, I rotated my wheel forward in gear and the kicker shaft is rotating in the opposite direction. Could I assume the lay shaft bearing is spent or the pawl/detent is phuqed?
Found this. Can I clean this up and reuse? I think the shaft was catching the " cork seal washer" as the book calls it? Does anyone remake these? Or will I have to find a machinist to make me one? Plus a chipped pawl.
