Apologies if this post has already gone on forum but can't find it - has anyone experience of gearbox rebuild kits available from Andover Norton - all the kits available seem to have gone the way of roller bearing on layshaft - Mick Hemmings thought this was a bad move so I have sourced supplier of Tufnol bearing but not sure if these are same quality as they once were.
If everyone is using kits without problems, I might go the same route.

I bought a tufnol bearing recently, not used yet, and just got a good brand ( can’t remember which, and can’t check just now.) I expect it will last plenty long enough, and saves shimming, which I did last time.
