Can anybody help? - I have recently acquired a 1975 850 commando engine/frame number 332535 registration number ONE115P
the problem i have is the bike was not registered in the UK untill Feb 1986
where was it before this date ?

You can follow up a couple of angles. If you're now the Registered Keeper, you're able to ask DVLA for details of the previous keepers. This used to be copies of their microfilm records and the original application may shed more light. If not, at least you can try contacting the person who registered it.
Secondly, you can ask the Club to check factory despatch records which may show where it was sent to (It might not as my MkIII which is about 2000 earlier is mysteriously missing).
