850 ES Mk3 Roadster (Red)

Forums

I am looking  to sell my '75 850 mk3 ES.  The current financial situation dictates I'm afraid.  I have totally stripped the bike and rebuilt it after its arrival back from the States several years ago.  I have only done 93 miles so the bike needs to be run in and 'fettled' which is where I am now. Thing is I don't know what price to put on it or expect to get.  I have looked at some auction sites but prices vary so much from 7k upwards (condition of bikes vary)  I have had a concrete offer which I can fall back on if needed  Whilst I don't want to sell myself short I don't want to raise my expectations of it's real value. I have included a picture of the bike

The bike looks great and as long as it runs ok then  in my opinion worth approx £9000 give or take a few hundred. if you have any receipts even better. Don't let anyone try and fool you into believing Mk 3 Commandos aren't as valuable and popular as others , they are. Good luck with the sale, and sorry it's come to this for you

Hi Mike,

It is always difficult to judge from a picture (they always look better in a picture than in the flesh), but if it is that good, and you have details of work done, then I agree with Sam, 9k would be my starting point.

Tony
