69 Commando Clutch Roll Pins

Forums

Hi,

Early clutch so 1st plain plate is attached to clutch basket with 2 roll pins that have sheared.

Is there a standard size or do I just measure the diameter and order nearest mm size from e-bay?

Is there a smarter way of fixing- I think the assembly is hardened so may be an issue re-drilling.

Thx

Are these solid or 'real' roll pins? I had 'roll' pins on the Clutch mechanism of the Reliant 850 engine. They tended to break after time. So replaced them with solid pins. You might also consider adding a third or even 4th pin once you have relocated the plate with the original two.

... the Commando Service Notes there's mention of these - apparently John Hudson reckoned you could just forget them.

From the manual- listed as drive pins and remains look like roll pins. I'll try and source a pair.

Thx

Thanks Ian missed your comment. I'll maybe leave out...as suggested in the Service Notes rather than have them break off and rattle around in the case.

Eddie
