Hi Steve . I have one of yours bought ages ago but only just fitted it . Banjo fitted on oil feed to rockers as instructed, but doesn't work . Bulb remains lit. Tried a second switch from Andover and that's the same. Other side of bulb to a switched live. Is there something I'm missing ? Regards Graham

Oil switch
Hi Peter. It did cross my mind. It's a low mileage bike at 11k and had an incident.when the pipe feeding RH rockers momentarily parted the union with spectacular results so appeared high pressure but is there a way to check it? FYI bike has a cnw crankcase breather on to relieve crankcase pressure. Would that make any difference? I
know thats after the oil feed but just a thought. Is it time to get the oil pump checked at that mileage ? D

Caution needed
I've used these oil pressure switches on several bikes over the years. A great idea to use them.
A word of caution, the smaller ones use one of three different sizes of thread.
1/8" BSP 28TPI, 1/8" NPT 27 TPI, M10 x 1 25.4 TPI.
Visually they look to be the same, measuring the outside diameter might not be conclusive in separating the imperial from the metric. Check with a thread gauge. The heavy handed will get the BSP and NPT to screw together..........

another option
Don Pender also sells a take off electrical sensor ( from timing cover outlet to rockers ) which triggers an indicator light for low pressure warning. $30.

DIY option
Get a long oil switch, grind the shaft down and retap a thread, screws directly into any of the three banjo bolt positions.

You cut that thread. Only…
You cut that thread.
Only holes get tapped.

Oil pump & Crank seal
Just a thought, but do you know if the rubber seals been replaced recently as they can harden after time. ?

Oil warning lamp
As per my previous posting I've fitted the oil switch to the r/h top banjo on the head and it works as intended.
I also decided to make a seperate mounting bracket for the warning lamp as pictured, it is held tightly in place by the fork top nut and includes two led's as a back up.
