I've been given a beautiful polyester tank for my Surrogate Manx racer project. However, the inside is a mess and definitely needs a proper coating.
In my metal tanks, I've been using Tank Cure coating for decades and I'm very happy with it and it's ethenol-resistant too. However, they advice not to use it in plastic tanks, as it won't stick like it does to metal. This means I need to find a coating that does.
Any suggestions?
Cheers!
Tim

Have a look at Frosts site…
Have a look at Frosts site for this stuff seems to say it all really.
I haven't used it myself, only their Por 15 sealer which has never let me down on mild steel tanks.

Paul and Tony, also thanks for the input!
I can't believe you're spoiled for choice over there, whilst over here in the Netherlands I'm looking for a needle in a haystack. I'll make sure to ordered one of the above when coming over to the UK again.
Cheers!

I used Caswell tank sealer in the glass fibre tank on my 1968 Commando. It is still fine after twelve or more years, but preparation is the key to success. I cleaned it out with a length of chain & acetone.
