I'm looking to have a slimline swinging arm powder coated but I do not have the facility to remove the silent block bushes
I've scanned through the forum for advice but found conflicting information, in one thread it was said this was possible without any ill effect yet in another thread someone claimed after stove enamelling their bushes were melted?
As I understand it powder coating requires ~200°C but stove enamelling is significantly less?
Any advice gratefully accepted

The last one I had done,…
The last one I had done, when I got it back the rubbers had completely disappeared and I then had to try and remove the outer tubes of the silentblocs without damaging my new finish, at which I failed dismally.
Next time I will remove them first.

bushes
Hello,
trouble is if you remove the bushes where do you get the press in type. all be it a while ago. i couldnt find any bushes that pressed in my swinging arm . the three sets i bought were all the same. they just simply pushed in the swinging arm with your thumb. do they do the ones that press in now.

All I can say is that I have had a few swinging arms powder coated and none have failed.
My powder coating engineer has not had one fail either so make of that what you will.
Of course, I only use one man to do my coating.
The above based on experience. Your choice.
