Hi there,
It must not a typical Norton problem, but my indicators work well while the engine is not running.
Does it run, she has permanent orange light in revs up to 3000 rpm.
Over 3000 rpm,the indicators work as they should. Its not from the beginning. Just since the last 50 mls.
Suggestion is a defect in the relais? I have ordered a new one as A N sells them.
Anybody any idea about this never heard of phenomen?
Regards Uwe
I use an electronic relay…
I use an electronic relay that can be wired +ve earth so its unaffected by voltage changes.

but I would be checking your charging circuit as well.

Update from Uwe: problem…
Update from Uwe: problem solved. It was the wrong relais. I have now fitted one for 21 W and not as what I got a few years ago, a 10W relais.
Regards and Thanks for your comments

You don'tr say what model and if the indicator relay is original. The original Lucas ones were very susceptible to the supply voltage. A guess is that the battery voltage is falling below 3000 revs hence indicators misbehave. The other possible cause is vibration.
