Original Lucas Medallion Paint

Hi Steve. My Dommie 99 was dumped in a shed (not by me) in 1991. As far as I know, the headlight is the original 1961 item. The Lucas badge (medallion) in the headlight shell is painted silver all over - not a bit of gold anywhere.

Not my bike, this photo of a Dommie was taken at a Kempton Park Classic bike show.

Medallion all silver, and thinking about it cant recollect seeing any gold on this sort of badge anywhere. I've another photo taken at the NMM (for instrument reference purposes), its at a more acute angle but again all silver.

I think Tony is right.

My59 dommie 99 is exactly as the picture posted by Michael. Hugh
