You may have seen in the news that a soon-to-be ex-MP has got himself into a little spot of bother. His offence, apparently, was trying to find Dominators on the internet. So just be careful if you’re looking to buy a Norton Twin!

The MP is the one for our constituency. Proof, if any were needed, that a donkey with a blue rosette would get elected here. Grrrrrrr

More relevant to us - why…
More relevant to us - why did Boris Becker get two years for hiding £2m from the Exchequer - and Garner got 6 months suspended for stealing £13m from pensioners? A letter to my MP, methinks. I wonder if anyone affected has lodged an official complaint about excessively lenient sentencing? Any losers among NOC members?

David - you’re right and it’s a good idea, I’ll write to mine .... no hang on I can’t ..... he’s resigned! What I can’t understand is 1 how or why he changed his phones settings- most are set to block such sites, but having done so, not only did he do it again at a place of work, he did it where someone could see him.

Mobile Madness
In most English schools mobile phones are considered too much of a distraction and consequently not allowed in classrooms or other gatherings of pupils. So why is this rule not applied to Parliament where MPs have been observed texting, playing Candy Crush and other activities, not considered Parliamentary business.
I would also like to see MPs running the country and not personal businesses at the same time. At one time the MP for Portsmouth was an MP, MEP and a Councillor . So 3 salaries, 3 lots of expenses and possibly 3 pensions. He then complained of being over-worked!!!

Your ex-MP........should come to the US.
He would fit right in with our own Tory party.

Most of what goes on in the Chamber is so boring that I'm not surprised MPs do something else to pass the time. Now we have so many 20 speed limits, I take a lot more notice of local street architecture just to stay awake...

But what was he doing with his hand held device out in Parliament, when his focus should have been on the job.
Concentrating on the debate. Then again, he would have been in the hands of the whips anyway.
Safer with singles, me thinks. Especially a nice Model 50.
