Hi all,
I am posting this purely on the logistics of the current situation and how it might impact on the targets for reducing fossil fuel use against the possible mechanical benefits of E0 petrol in older vehicles.
With the crisis in Ukraine and the world-wide reperccusions, I am wondering how this is going to affect the supply of cereal grain, firstly as a food and secondly for alcohol production. As Russia and Ukraine are major grain producers, the effect of an ongoing war and sanctions by all sides might probably last for quite a long time. Obviously the priority will be for food, so will there be enough world-wide additional supply to distil it for use in petrol ?

A lot of people on low wages…
A lot of people on low wages are already being badly hit by higher energy prices, and the probable effects of the war will not help.
Also watch out for major political repercussions in (e.g.) Egypt and other countries heavily reliant on grain imports for food. This was a major factor in the Arab Spring of ten years ago.
