Just been reading the P100 instruction manual and spotted a reference to 11 3/8" between mounting holes, frame and swing arm. Research I had previously seen on here says 12.7 or 12.9".
With the 11 3/8" , the centre stand would be more like the right length, not way too short.
My units are 322mm long which is about 12.7, anyone actually have units 11 3/8" long - (289mm ). ?
or have I misunderstood something ?

Commando shocks are 12.9"…
Commando shocks are 12.9" long, its listed as 12.9" correctly in the text of Phillip's doc
The Commando rear units reverted to the 12.9 extended length with a spring of 126 lbs but this time the bushes are the same at 3/8 top and bottom but bush lengths are shorter.
but wrongly listed as 12.75" in the table.

Thanks all for the above,…
Thanks all for the above, some very comprehensive answers, 12.7" it is then ! , 11.3/8" remains a mystery.
Oh well.....

Corrections
John....thanks for picking up the typos in the table and attachment. The text appears to all be correct so why the table contains the silly numbers is a bit of a mystery? I have made some changes and trust that Terry can now make some sense of it all.

Terry,
Featherbed rear shock absorbers are 11.9" between the centres of both bushes.
I've just fitted a new pair on my 88SS and fit is really good. Plenty of sellers in the UK have stocks of replacement items
