Hi Thanks to everyone who as already helped me with my Atlas rebuild, I have another question if someone could please assist. My atlas has been fitted with twin Amal 930 concentrics which have had the chokes removed and blanked off, is there a need to reinstate the chokes or not as previously it must have been running without them. Is there a particular reason for doing this with these concentrics. I do not have the original carbs and would like to stay with twin carbs rather than revert to a single carb set up.
Thanks again
Neal

Chokes will often allow starting without using the tickler . Dripping fuel is a hazard and can flood the motor with downdraught carbs. Late Atlas came with concentrics and chokes.
