Late Navigator gearbox

Building a late Navigator from loads of bits. I have worn/broken parts on the gearbox end plate (38) Fig.45 of the manual.  No1. above the steel stop where the kickstart pawl, (37) , locates on its return to rest. How does this stop come out? I need to remove it to repair/weld the broken casting above it.   No2. on the outside, where the clutch operating assembly (39) fits, there doesn't appear to be anything to locate it and stop it partly rotating in the housing. Does anyone have a picture of how this side should look? Tried to upload photos but the files are too large apparently.

No need to resize photos if you use the little photo icon (two mountains and a sun) it looks too big when you select it but the system shrinks it to fit.

Although I have jubilee with a later gearbox, I can’t recall it in enough detail to help!

Had a similar problem with mine, the clutch actuator housing had disintegrated around its thinner wall near the kickstart assy - the kickstart shaft bush was worn by the “pawl” which wasn’t operating square in its housing plus the 1st gear/kickstart serrations were very badly worn.  I also couldn’t remove the hardened “pinned” pawl from the mounting but didn’t bother in the end.  Repairs were JB Weld for the actuator housing, ground back and profiled (only time will tell if that’s been successful though - couldn’t find another inner cover and I still may have to have it welded up), the bush was not available so I rotated by 180deg and refitted.  New kickstart shaft & pawl from the NOC shop and new gear from Norvil - had to put a touch of weld on the pawl pivot area as it still wasn’t operating square (dressed with my trusty dremel).  All still seems good but no real road test yet!

Sorry, only photos of the 1st gear and bush and still don’t know how to “unpin” that hardened pawl - possibly heat?
