I have a copy of the official Norton spare parts list for my Dominator 99. However they seem to bare no relation to the part numbers as shown in the owners club listing of spares. Am I missing a trick here or are the noc part numbers purely related to to the noc stock ? I was hoping to accurately identify some spares prior to ordering.

Equivalent Numbers
Many of the early Dominator part numbers had prefix letters such as D12, A2, H12, K12 and E. These were then mostly superseded by lists using five digit numbers and later still by several versions using six digit numbers.
Wash my mouth out....but Norvil has managed to cross-relate and produce a huge list of all of the variations. Dial into their site and enter the part number that you want to check into their search engine. This should bring up the number you entered, plus the equivalent p/n used over the decades. It should also list the most current part number of their stock or an another similar part that can be used as a substitute.

As far as I know, there was at least three different parts numbering systems after WW2. Hopefully some knowing member can explain. Though BSA and Triumph also changed their numbering systems. Luckily both AN and RGM websites can be searched for part numbers, so you have a decent chance to get a conversion between newer, old or older part numbers.
