Norton ES2

Forums

Hi i have a 1949 ES2 plunger and just purchased a lucas wiring look horn is by the battery.

I am a bit confused as the existing wiring loom is homemade and appears different to the new loom, could someone assist with this.

Many thanks Graham

The 'new' loom is made by Wassell and is made using 1963 colours (recommended). The two ring terminals are to go on the Ammeter in the headlamp. The BRN/BLK in that bundle goes to the horn switch on the handlebar. The other BRN cable with a ring terminal goes on the battery.

The horn wires are BRN/BLU and BRN/BLK if they come out near the front of the bike and the horn is far away then previous owner has moved the horn.

The wiring diagram with the loom is quite clear actually. IF parts are not where the loom thinks they are then either the previous owner of the bike has moved them OR the loom is not correct for the bike.
