Im jmocking up the rear section before the paint work is done.
I have a half size mudguard below the bathtub which comes from behind the gearbox and terminates just past the tool tray, is this correct or should it be a full size mudguard. There is fixing holes on the front side of the bathtub just below the dzus fasteners, these align with a frame bracket, but there is a gap of approximately 30mm between the bathtub and bracket. Cant see any part number for this spacer. How was it fixed.

Yes you are right about the half mudguard. A full mudguard would prevent the rear wheel from being easily removed.
Regards the fixing of the rear bath tub to the frame. I noticed this morning that there is a couple of companies selling extra long dzus fasteners which could do the job. I,m thinking of passing a bolt through the bathtub, lock it behind the bathtub with a nut and then use two nuts to lock it to the frame bracket. Should be sturdy, unless someone has a better idea.

Had a look at Roy Bacons book "Norton Twin Restoration", on page 160 is a photo of a Jubilee Deluxe and shows a spacer and fixing for the rear panels looks about 3/4 inch diameter and 3/4 inch long but I am just guessing perhaps somebody could measure theirs for you, all the best.

Jubilee bathtub
I have the Roy Bacon book, never noticed that picture before. It doe look like a spacer with a nut on the outside of the panel, it must just be a bolt and nut with spacer. The spacer looks easy enough to make.
It looks like the spacer is in the parts list on page 21 under mudguards and fittings, part number 21974. The shop has none.

My Norton Dominator only had the short mudguard, the rear bathtub is the mud guard this enables you to remove the rear wheel after you remove the number plate. I cannot remember about the panel bolt spacers, it was 50 years ago. All the best with the rebuild. I am rebuilding my second standard Jubilee a lot of work is involved.
