Morning to you all. I need a new set of spark plugs for my 1961 Navigator. It has been converted to 12v electronic ignition and the current plugs are NGK B8ES. These plugs are not listed on the club's spares list. Am I able to buy these from the club or is there a suitable alternative from the club shop.
Thank you
Andy James

Thanks for the reply Ulrich. Unfortunately the information in the link is in German and difficult to understand.

You can buy NGK B8ES plugs…
You can buy NGK B8ES plugs almost everywhere, but I’d stick to a known dealer as there are cheap copies out there. The manual says KLG FE80 or FE100. Champion N3 is another choice.
There’s another cross reference here:

Hi all, I’m doing a major…
Hi all, I’m doing a major service on my Navigator which I converted to the Pazon 12v electronic ignition about 18 months ago which has performed perfectly and transformed the bike. Interestingly when I checked the NGK B8ES plugs (which I hadn’t used before) the centre electrodes were far more eroded than I have ever seen on a Navigator after only 2000 miles. The mixture is spot on and the bike was running very nicely despite the wear. I am wondering whether the excessive erosion is normal with this grade of NGK plug or is it a result of the ‘spare spark’ system which is sending a soak to both plugs every revolution of the engine? To explore further I am going to try the Champion option next and see if they fair better. Nick
