Hi Guys - in making good use of the lock down I turned my tender mercies to the magdyno. In refitting it all I found the screw which holds the commuter end cap onto the dynamo, missing.
Does anyone have any idea of its details; length, type, TPI?
The dynamo is type E3LM-LO on a '55 ES2. The end cap part no. is 200826.
Bloody annoying - it's those Garage Gremlins again!

It's not confined to the garage....
Many years ago I was in France with the Commando and it developed a misfire (later traced to a bad connection on the Boyer back plate). However, I was convinced it was carburation as always. I removed the drain plug from the (single) Concentric and placed it carefully on top of the nearside pannier while I took things apart looking for the problem. Having found nothing I put everything back together. But could I remember what I'd done with the drain plug? I was reduced to thoughts of whittling a bit of wood when I was packing my tools away and there was the plug exactly where I'd left it....
A change from putting a vital part carefully on a bit of clean rag then snatching that up to wipe something and said part shoots off into the undergrowth.

It had fallen into the rubber gaiter round the F and D terminals on the dynamo. I apologise to the Garage Gremlins. Mind you, the dynamo is still not charging but that's another thread!
Happy Easter everyone. Make the best of yi that you can.
