My Electra parts list has an entry for fibre washers to go under the heads of the gearbox cover. Are these available or will I have to use a sealant?

Hi Dave - Sorry, missed your posting somehow.
These fibre washers are available from Andover Norton (& maybe the other suppliers too). They are P No 11775 and should fit under the cover screws. The timing cover & primary chaincase may benefit from them too.
TBH, I have never fitted them, relying on the gasket(s) to do their job - but there is always a weep from the screw heads - so these washers may be a good idea. Until your post, I had never thought to look for them.
