Navigator tinware on ebay

Forums

Did anyone notice the Navigator tinware parts on ebay. Fork covers, styling panels, swinging arm etc. Sold for £365!!!!. Does this mean Norton Lightweight values are set to rise?

I didn't see that but I personally wouldn't bid that sort of money for the bits you mention.

No doubt about it Lightweight tinware is getting hard to find and someone must think it is worth it.

I think that red tank has been on Ebay for the past two years. The last tank I bought cost me £10 - and that was at Stafford a couple of years ago. My standard Navigator cost me £350 - it was a runner with MOT and had a transferable number - but that was 20 or more years ago. It could be worth more dead than alive!

Ummh! A true recycling RE-CYCLE dilemma, with sadly human consequence and insurance costs no less!

Same chap sold a front & back wheel, with a front mudguard and stays for £77 earlier. Not a bad price. As for the tinware, getting the styling panels made (as NOC's Neil will confirm) is a nightmare & very expensive. So, although a lot of money was bid - it was a 'reasonable' price. I'll own up to bidding, but got left behind at around the halfway mark....

Hi Dan,

That Jubilee at £2800 has been for sale for ages but it does claim to have a transferable registration number which could account for at least half of the asking price but there still doesn't seem to be many takers. I get emails every week from number plate dealers quoting big amounts for the most mundane registrations but if you reply they promptly try to sell you some more registrations !

The other one at £3495 I simply do not believe to be genuine. It has been on Ebay again for months and the caption says sold. I think it is just one of those 'come-on' ads as it looks good in the pictures.
